On the Shelf program and Gift Wrapping

Oct.1,2011
"If you could live in any period of History...
which would you choose?"
Emily believes she would like the 1970's because of the women's movement.
And, Jennifer wasn't here but said she'd like to see what the future holds.
Sue thinks she would like the Elizabethan age;
or, and the roaring 20's before the great depression.
The Roaring 20's is Kelly's favorite
becasue it was a rebellious time of empowerment.

Anna could imagine the Pilgrims moving west in the 1800s;
or maybe the Renissance period.

Mom, Gerry, loved the 1030's because she loved to dance,
and got up to show us a few of her moves;-)
Teresa missed our program; however, she said
the Future to have more time with her
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy believes that 1949 to present was an amazing time
because she experienced the changes in telephone operation
to the cell phone, and computers in homes today!
Nancy always loved the dresses from the 40's; albeit,
the 60's and 70's she would love to do over...
And Susie would love to live back in the Old West
(this is the Hawaiian Paniolo dress, kinda;-)
to ride the range and raise a family in yester-year.
Patricia loves horses like me
so I think she'd like to be bac kin a time that horses
were the mode of tranporation also
;-) if she had to choose a time in History.

Anna wrapped a gift, Judy is almost done,
and Mom's having a time;-)
Emily started on her second gift to wrap
and Sue's about wrapped-up...
And here are all the gifts ready for Mom to hand out at our Tea;
she loves to give everyone a gift for her birthday, 89th soon.

Emily received a "cool Secret Sister gift"

I received a fantastic gift! Beside Passion Tea
the Hawaiin mug has Aloha on the inside!
"Can you see it?"
Aloha, such a wonderful word of love.
As we share our "Old West" meal of
Hickory Beans,
chilli cornbread and collard greens.
"If YOU could live in any itme in History,
which would it be?"
