May, the final meeting and social of the year.

Aloha Sisters and Mahalo for joining us once again.
May once again brought us back to Susie's house where we held our Ritual of Jewels ritual for those present pledges that passed the test.
Afterwards we celebrated and held a partial revealing of Secret Sisters Gifts.

Our Final Social of the year was held at Kapolei Golf Course.
We held a mini ritual for our Sister that couldn't join us earlier.

One more group shot of all our lovely sisters before we part for the summer.

A Big MAHALO to my sisters for such a wonderful first year, and I am looking forward to next year already! Aloha and have a great summer.

April Meeting, Social and Founder's Day (again)

April saw us back at Susie and Gerry's house once again for the meeting and social.
Susie demonstrated Gerry's invention to make bacon in the microwave and allowed us all a sample.

A brief meeting and we continued on with our program, and introduction to the book Susie generously gave each of us a copy.
And of course raffle gifts!

Founder's Day was wonderful event where we were able to meet other sisters from other places on our island.

We all enjoyed each other's company and a nice lunch.

All Aboard! March Social- Hawaiian Ralway Society.

Aloha Sisters near and far!
Our March social started on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, where we gathered for a potluck picnic.

This batch of sisters definitely know how to trow a great picnic, with all sorts of great food!
But the fun part was yet to come! After the dishes were all packed up we loaded up onto a train car to take a ride down the coast.

One of our Sisters *yours truly* works for the Hawaiian Railway Society as Narrator.  As the train rolls down the tracks she filled us in on lots of history of this railroad, and the part of the island we traveled through.
And of course at each crossing we waved at the cars, being sure to use our "shakas"!

About 1/3 of the ride goes through Ko' Olina Resort and along the Waianae Coast, making for some of the best scenery pictures.

When the train returned to the platform Jennifer led us on a brief tour of the yard.
We saw all sorts of railroad equipment and engines, some that have been restored, and some waiting their turn for restoration...

One of the crowning jewels of the HRS's holdings is the Parlor Car #64.

There was lots to see and lots to learn about!

This was a very fun afternoon for all of us, and our families! For those of you that cannot be here with us here are some useful links:

Valentines Social Re-visited!

Aloha Sisters! As promised, now that I have pictures from the Valentine's Social We can all re-live this lovely afternoon.  We gathered with our sweethearts at the local Denny's to share a meal and good company, of course with plenty of goodies to go around!

There was much laughter and conversation, a few games and then the Secret Sisters got into the gift giving act, too!  Thank you Secret Sisters!  *You're Welcome!*
