October 16 - Birthday Social!

You know it's going to be a fancy party when even the sugar cubes get dressed up!

Our second social was another fabulous tea, this time held at the Salvation army... no wait, I kid... at the Wai'oli Tea Room in Manoa.

Not only did we get to celebrate the Joy of our newly forming Sisterhood, but two birthdays as well! Here the birthday girls are getting all ready for the party, too!

We all enjoyed the beautiful setting and sampled many wonderful teas.

Of, course there were fantastic raffle prizes as well!

And once again our generous president gave us each a beautiful tea cup and saucer to use and take home with us to cherish.  These also displayed the wonderful and delicate sugar cubes.

After an afternoon of wonderful tea and welcoming new sisters,

There was also cake!

Happy Birthday to you, Gerry!!!

And again, our generous President Susie also provided us with gifts as well! It was like every one's birthday!

In the end, a great time with wonderful food, tea and company in a stunningly beautiful location. What more could Sisters in paradise ask for?

Aloha! I am thy Sister!

Freshly pinned and ready for more!

Aloha Ladies! The computer gnomes have hidden some of the pictures from our Pledge Ceremony, but most of them were super secret sister stuff that I shouldn't post on the internet anyway...
I do have some shots of us freshly pinned and will add more pictures as I find them on my hard drive...
Enjoy!

Aloha! I am thy sister!

September 18, 2010 - Tea for Ten

Our first social event of the season at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club in the Bird of Paradise Restaurant.
We arrived to see a beautifully set table waiting for us.

At each setting there was an individual cup and saucer for us to choose and even take home with us! (Thanks Susie!)

The first order of business was to update all of our paperwork.

Hmmm. Sue seems suspicious about something? Sneaky picture taking, maybe?

Our president Susie explains to us about our pledge pins and other upcoming events.

Now it was time for tea and cake!

All our lovely ladies all in a row.

About half of our chapter was in attendence this day.
Seated in front are Susie and Gerry. In the back from left to right are
Virginia, Anna, Judy, Nancy, Theresa, Sue, Denise and Jennifer.

Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold.  (and I don't just mean their beautiful hair color!)

A new chapter is blossoming on Oahu!

May the Lord watch between me and thee, while we are absent one from another.
